Elder Venegas, Carlos, and a New Years Party
So transfers were on Sunday. Elder Abilla got transfered to
Chillogallo and I received Elder Venegas as my companion. He is from the part
of Peru that has lake Titicaca. He came here the same time as Elder Astuñaupa,
the missionary that I trained. We get along really well and are having some
miracles in our sector.
So Carlos got baptized on Saturday. It was a really
spiritual service and he shared afterwards that he felt like all his sins were
left in the font and that now he is clean. I love Carlos so much.
On Monday we had to stay in the house at night because it
was New Years. So we did the classic Ecuadorian traditions. Here they burn a
stuffed person who symbolizes the old year. So we went up to our roof and ended
up having to spend 45 minutes cleaning it up afterwards. Totally still worth
it. The video of us up there reminds me of that Mormon Message (sorry I don´tknow what else to call it) of the rooftop party in Japan.
So we are teaching a bunch of amazing people. We have some
really cool families out here. I will tell you more about them later.
Life is good now. I cannot believe that it is already 2019.
My plan was just for 2018 to never end. So that stinks. I love the mission. The
best part is definitely the people. I love them so much.
That is about it for me.
Elder Tucker
