Ambato on Fire, as are hard-to-understand Venezuelans
Ambato is on Fire!
So this week in Ambato is was pretty hot. I loved it. It
took me back to when I was on the coast. I feel like when it is really hot
people are just more relaxed and happier. So as I have been sweating these last
couple of days I have been rejoicing as well.
This week had a downer. Ricardo decided that he was not
ready for baptism yet so we did not have a baptism this week. It was a
disappointment because he was totally ready. But pretty soon he will get
baptized.
But the Venezuelans that I wrote about last week are
amazing. They all came to church this week and are looking really good. I just
do not understand a thing they say because they use different words and have a
different accent.
This week we had interviews and Zone Conference with
President Barlow. It was super uplifting and I learned a ton. President talked
about trust and how God loves all of us but does not trust us all. It has been
cool putting what he said in practice.
So Elder Brown goes home in a week. So we are going to bring
the fire this week so that he can finish his mission on a high note.
This last week was also fantastic. Working really hard is
the best thing in the world. I love it out here in Ecuador. The mission is just
the best.
Love y'all. Happy Birthday Justine. Espero que fuera buena y
que este practicando su español.
Elder Tucker
