100% Responsible, with a Soccer and Encebollado Break

A fun week.
So I have an addiction to talks. I love Conference talks, and
recently I have been listening to BYU devotionals. This week I listened to a
talk called "Be 100% Responsible." It changed my life. I decided that I was
going to hold myself 100% responsible for what happened in my sector and in all
parts of my life. And then I had one of the most difficult weeks in the
work.
With us having such a large zone, we have to travel long
distances when certain missionaries are about to have baptisms because we have
to interview the people they are teaching. And this weekend we worked 3 hours
in our sector because of it. It really stunk because just when I got pumped
about being 100% responsible, everything fell apart. Our sector is not looking
amazing.
Now it was not super bad or anything, I am doing great now,
but it was a lot. It has been a huge learning experience for me this transfer.
But nothing solves your problems like soccer and Encebollado with the boys. This entire week I have been talking trash with the
Latinos about soccer. I told them that we were gonna play Gingos against
Latinos and that we would trash them. So we played today and we ended up tying.
It turned out well because of that. Then we went to eat our favorite food,
Encebollados. It is this amazing fish soup with banana chips. I do not really
like fish or soup but man, put them together and something magical happens. So
I feel amazing right now.
So on Sunday we went to a place called Latacunga to do an
interview and we ended going about an hour away to the house of the guy to do
the interview. He lives above the clouds. Like literally above the clouds. It
was cool being in one of the highest parts of the world ever.
So the only photo I have this week is a selfie of a
missionary I did exchanges with. He is awesome. We did some language study and
he really helped me with my accent. I am trying to speak more clearly and he
really helped me out. Also the stupid rr in Spanish. I finally got it down this
week. So that makes me really happy.
I am really excited about this week. Hopefully it goes
better than last week.
Love,
Elder Tucker
