That Bad Week When You Meet a Young Man, Share the Book of Mormon, and Then He...

Para que voy a mentir (why would I lie), this was a pretty difficult week. 

Like nothing awful happened. I am doing good on health and everything but the work went really poorly this week. A family that was going to get baptized 2 weeks ago had their baptism fall again, and it really got us down. And we were basically down the entire week. And it is really hard to be spiritually uplifting when spiritually you are down. So it was a pretty difficult week.

But to keep it positive I will share a miracle. Carlos Guachi. He is a 16 year old who we found outside of his house. He shared with us that he always had the question of why does God allow bad things to happen. So we shared with him the Book of Mormon and told him to read Alma 14:9-11. He read it and immediately gained a testimony of our message. So he went to church that week. And he signed up for a mini MTC. He is not even baptized and he already wants to be a missionary. So we are thinking of baptizing him 1 week before the mini MTC. He is one of the most prepared people I know.

I am currently writing in Quito because tomorrow we have a meeting with the leaders of the mission. 

Nothing really else. A pretty short letter. I know next week will be way better than this week.
