Non-Earthquake Event and an Old Friend
There was an Earthquake in Ecuador. Volcanoes disappeared!
We were in a bus when it happened. So we felt nothing. We did not even know
anything happened until President Barlow called us. And it has just been really
cloudy recently so a volcano might have disappeared. Maybe.
But other than the earthquake that was tiny, this week was
awesome. We went to Quito last Monday for Leader Council and I went on
exchanges with Elder Smith in his area before we slept. Elder Smith was my MTC
companion and it was so cool being able to teach a lesson after a year in the
mission. When we taught lessons in the MTC we did not understand anything. So
needless to say the lessons we had this week went way smoother. Then on Tuesday
we had Leader Council with President Barlow. It was amazing and we left it
super animated. Then we went on to have a bomb week of work. So we are doing
great now.
I got my hair cut by a Venezuelan today. They give great
haircuts.
Nothing else is really going on in life. I am just out here
trying to go hard every day.
We see miracles here every day. But also there is opposition
in all things. It just stinks when we go to church and a lot of the people we
have been teaching do not show up. It is stressful and discouraging. If anyone
has any suggestions on how to help people attend church I am all ears.
Also I still love eating Encebollados.
Love,
Bryce
