Work Rolling Forward
Another great week in the mission. We had Zone Conference
this week. I loved the trainings given as always. Sister Barlow talked about
the 5 things your mom would say. She nailed it. She said our mom would tell us
to brush our teeth. My mom goes to the next level and tells me to floss and
wear my retainer. Just to let you know Mom I have been doing it.
We are super excited for this week. In our ward we have 6
persons planning on getting baptized. We have seen huge miracles and I am so
excited for the weekend. I will send some photos.
So Elder Brown is a huge volleyball guy. He is sharp and we
work so well together and get along great.
We have the second smallest zone in the mission right now.
There are 14 of us. We got people from all over the world which is fun. We have
the best zone so I really do not have to do anything right now.
So being a missionary sometimes feels like being in a Key
and Peele skit. I know that might be one of the strangest things I can say but
it is true. Look up this Key and Peele video about bringing an old military guy out of retirement (warning: language). I literally met that guy today. I had probably the strangest
conversation with that guy today. He was from Nevada and he is a pastor. I have
found that one of my least favorite things in the world is talking to pastors,
especially from the US. It is not that they are bad people but the conversation
is never productive.
So on Thursday I saw the IPhone X for the first time. Holy
Cow that was so cool. And y'all do not care about that at all but it just lets
you know how out of it I am. And how easily I can be impressed.
Every day I feel more and more like my parents. So do not
worry that when I get back my personality will be completely changed. I am just
becoming more like y'all.
The mission is just going way to fast. Loving it out here. I
can't complain about anything.
