Art and Evolution, or How Bryce Bonds
This was actually an amazing week. Elder Astuñaupa and I
have become really good friends. Why you might ask. Well we stayed up Saturday
night until 11:30 arguing about art and evolution.
So what happened was Elder Astuñaupa saw one of the Basquiat
postcards that my Dad sent me and the classic reaction came. What is this
garbage, 5 year olds make better art than this, I can make art better than
Basquiat. And then we just talked about it throughout the night and touched on
other topics as well. Now that might now sound like any grand sign of
friendship to you but literally the same thing happened with me and Elder Lambson
(one of my favorite companions). Also, when I was home I would stay up late
playing video games with my friends and when we hit the wee hours of the night
we would argue about the real issues as well. Looking back I see how weird that
is but I like arguing about stuff like that so I think that it was builds
friendship. Maybe I am just a bad friend. Or maybe having a Humanities
professor as your Dad ruins you.
Last week with Elder Astuñaupa. This week we are super busy
because we have Zone Conference, interviews with President, and we have to go
to Quito to do Elder Astuñaupa´s visa. It is going to fly this week.
We had an Earthquake this week on Tuesday. So in Quito I
would feel little shakes every once in a while but this one was crazy. Super
cool and everyone is okay which is the best.
Had some disappointments this week because we have an 11 year
old girl who is preparing for baptism but is having family problems so her
baptism that was going to be for this next Saturday had to get pushed back.
So every time I ask someone to take a photo with my camera
they always press the video button. Always. So here two videos from our
activity today. Today was elder Astuñaupa´s birthday so we went to a members house
and ate food and played uno. Uno means one in English. Super fun and I think I
am the best at Uno.
So that is life,
Love y'all,
Elder Tucker
