PB&Js in Santo Domingo
This week was pretty great. Today we played soccer and
ecua-volley with the other missionaries in the stake center. It was raining
slightly so the weather was perfect as we were playing. Ecua-volley is 3 on 3
volley ball and the net is a bit higher and it is played with a soccer ball
instead of a volleyball. So it hurts really bad when you have to smack the
ball. But it was super fun being with the other missionaries and playing
sports.
Last week we bought Peter Pan peanut butter and some jelly.
I showed Elder Astuñaupa the PB&J which is a staple of American food. He
liked it so much that later in the week we made the quadruple sandwich. Very
tasty and we are proud of it.
Training is pretty difficult. All missionaries want to train
and open a sector like we are doing here but man it can be difficult. I think I
am putting too much pressure on myself because I want us to have a ton of
success and be a perfect trainer and that is not what God expects of me. I have
to remind myself of that because sometimes I stress myself out thinking about
things outside of my control.
Also Santo Domingo was super hot this weekend. Holy cow I
was dying from the sun and humidity. But that is part of the mission but I
kinda missed being in Quito.
I am really excited for Conference this weekend because it
is always great and in the mission it is the best.
The mission is so fast, even when there are difficult times
I never have a slow day. Every time I go to write the family I always am a
little surprised that that time has come.
Thank so much for the letters you write me.
Love y'all so much,
Elder Tucker
