Another Dope Week
So this was a pretty great week.
To start off I got sick again on Sunday which really stunk. It was so weird because literally right when we got in the house on Saturday night I knew I would be sick the next day. It was a blessing still because I was still able to complete the days work. But I am already much better and will have a normal week.
We definitely had a cool miracle this week. So it was 7:30 at night on Saturday and we had just finished a lesson and we went to go contact. As we were walking to this one area where we wanted to contact I felt the subtle impression to ask God where we should go. I felt that we should go one street over from where I had initially thought. Then as we were walking Elder Goycochea said we should contact this one house. So we did and boom. They let us in. Almost never does the first contact let us in. It was super cool because we both took part in the finding and it was definitely the spirit that led us.
So Elder Goycochea and I are getting along better. We still are not best friends but he is a good guy. When you are sick all you want is to be with your Mom and receive her help. Now no Elder can come anywhere close to my Mom but Elder Goycochea made me a tuna fish sandwich which was pretty cool. Serving others is the best way to break down barriers and improve your relationship.
Cultural note: So something great about Ecuador is there is a store on every corner. Literally every corner. And they have a lot of really great stuff. Eggs, bread, and Coca-Cola. But they are always messing with the prices. Like always. They always say secure price but every month the prices change. Also if you start speaking English to your companion they automatically add 5 cents. That is just how it works here.
The work continues to go well. We are always busy and the days are so fast here. I can't believe February is almost over.
Love the mission and love y'all
Elder Tucker
