An Actually Crazy Week

Well this week was super crazy, we had emergency transfers on Thursday. We got home from a good day of work and Elder Anchundia got a call from the assistants that I was being emergency transferred. I really did not want to leave Guamaní and was a little stressed. But I love my new sector and my new companion.

I am in Argelia which is in Quito and my companion is Elder Lambson.

He is from LA and is half Filipino so people think he is Latino here which is funny but he is awesome. We literally are always talking about everything and just have a ball together. This is his second to last transfer, so I will probably be here when he goes home. But he is a great missionary and was a zone leader in the jungle part of the mission. Elder Lambson was training but the Elder had to go home to get surgery so I got transferred to Argelia.

Argelia is way nicer and richer than Guamaní and sometimes it feels like I am in an inner city in the US. There are so many parks here and Graffiti. I will take some pictures this week.

We ran into a crazy guy this week. We were walking to meet with someone and this guy starts talking to me in clunky English (He thought Elder Lambson was Latino so he was just speaking to me). We talked for a bit and I asked where he was from. He said "do you not recognize my accent." His English was not amazing so I did not but he said he is from Yonkers New York. Is Yonkers just the museum or is there more? Because if it is just the museum then he is definitely crazy. He told us he graduated from Columbia which I am not sure if I believe because he is like homeless in Quito and how many Columbia graduates are homeless? How he got to Ecuador and if he is telling the truth will have to wait until next time.

So we are opening the sector here. What that means is that there were sister missionaries in here before but now it is us. This means we know nothing about our sector which is kinda scary but we have seen so many miracles this week. A former missionary who is visiting the mission called us on Friday to show us around the sector which was such a blessing. Also we have been finding a ton of new investigators which is rare.

One of the Elders in my trio of three days is Navajo which is really cool and he is super strong so he taught me some good exercise habits that I will be applying hard. Probably when we call in Christmas you will not be able to recognize me because of how yoked I am. Just warning you.

I do not get to baptize Manuel anymore which sucks but we will also be having a baptism this Saturday here which really rocks.

I am having a lot of fun here and love the mission.

Something cool about my new house is that the curtains are not that thick and the sun comes in at 6 so I always wake up 30 minutes early which makes life easier. The weather never changes here so I cannot believe it is November. Gramps is such a great example of missionary work and I really look up to him and respect him for how hard he works.
By the way, this computer is wack so I will be sending a ton of photos next week. I just want to hear news about what is up with the Family.  Pretty much that. You guys are awesome so do not be worried about how good your letters are.
