Hey Mom and Dad,
I
just wanted to start out this email by saying I am doing awesome. Also
that my district got me back. It was 9:00 at night and everyone in my
district were eating in one of our rooms, not mine. We were having a
good time and talking about
the day and it was really nice. I remember going in my room a couple
times but the lights were off which was so weird. Then like an hour
later I notice that my bed is gone. Just gone and off the frame. It is
not a big deal but I had to go look around for it
which was funny and everyone in my district was laughing about it so it
was all in good fun.
I
am loving how present the spirit is here. Also I never got Ashley's
letter and I really want to see it so maybe tell her what's up.
We went to the Provo Temple today and it was amazing. The Veil was massive. Also the artwork in the temple is so much cooler than in the MTC. It's all real and their are some impressionist looking ones which I loved. I always remember Dad asking missionaries what we should do to prepare for a mission and it felt like they always gave unsatisfactory answers. I now understand why they do. Being on a mission is unlike anything else I have done in my life. High School was so much about looking inward, what do I need to do, what classes should I take, and are my needs being met? But success in the mission comes from looking outwards. How is my investigator doing, are my companions needs being met, am I in line with God's will. It is hard because I could not prepare for that. But I feel that I am on the right path to receive the blessings God has for me.
I love y'all
Elder Tucker
One of the photos is of the pioneer day 5k where they ran from one
temple to the other. The picture with the dude is of Elder Prosser. He
is my District Leader and we are tight. He is the one who stole my bed.
